STANDARD SELF STORAGE LICENCE AGREEMENT – CONDITIONS

DEFINITIONS

  • “We”, “Us” or “Our” means the Self Storage Business.
  • “You” or “Your” means the customer named in this Agreement.
  • “Agent” means persons who you authorise, or who accompany you, to access the Unit.
  • “Agreement” means this Self Storage Licence Agreement , made up of the Cover Sheet and these Conditions.
  • “Facility” means the building, warehouse, external storage containers or other land or premises operated by the Self Storage Business, the address of which is detailed on the Cover Sheet.
  • “Property” or “Your Property” or “Goods” means any and/or all goods stored by You in a storage Unit allocated to You at Our Facility.
  • “Storage Period” the period from and including the Storage Period Start Date detailed on the Cover Sheet until the date on which the licence granted by Us is ended in accordance with these Conditions.
  • “Unit” means a segregated area of Our Facility made available for You to secure and store Goods’

Storage

  1. You are granted a licence to store Goods in the allocated Unit during the Storage Period, subject to payment of Fees and these Conditions.
  2. We do not take possession of Goods and are not a bailee, custodian, or warehouseman.
  3. This Agreement begins when We accept Your order and sign the Cover Sheet.

Cost

  1. A Deposit must be paid on signing and will be refunded (subject to deductions) within 21 days after termination.
  2. You are responsible for:
    • Storage Fees
    • Late payment fees
    • Debt recovery costs
    • Taxes
    • Cleaning and repair charges

Default – Right to Sell or Dispose of Goods

  1. If payment is overdue, We may deny access, lock the Unit, or sell/dispose of Goods.
  2. Goods left after termination may be treated as abandoned.
  3. Sale proceeds will be used to cover costs and outstanding debts.

Access

  1. You may access the Unit during designated hours.
  2. We may request ID verification.
  3. Access may be denied if payments are overdue or safety is at risk.

Prohibited Goods

  • Flammable or hazardous materials
  • Weapons or explosives
  • Illegal goods
  • Perishable food (unless properly stored)
  • Living creatures

Conditions

  1. You must secure the Unit at all times.
  2. The Unit must only be used for storage purposes.
  3. You are responsible for cleanliness and maintenance.

Risk and Responsibility

Goods are stored at Your own risk. We are not liable for loss or damage except where caused by Our negligence, and liability is limited.

Personal Information

We process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Cancelling or Ending the Agreement

Either party may terminate this Agreement with proper notice. Goods must be removed before termination.

Other Terms

This Agreement is governed by English law and disputes will be handled in courts of England and Wales.
